AED at ZTE
ZTE installed an AED, i.e. an automated external defibrillator at its offices. The device is available during the working hours both to employees and persons from outside the company in the case of emergency. The AED was bought and installed as a result of the first aid training, during which company employees learnt to save life of an injured person.
In the case of a sudden cardiac arrest, defibrillation helps to recover heart operation. It may be achieved by the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). It is a device that may be used even by a person that has not undergone any first aid training because it is very easy, even intuitive, to use. After being switched on, the defibrillator informs us verbally what must be done. It is enough to fulfil its subsequent instructions. The device also evaluates the condition of an injured person on its own and decides whether it must be used. It gives loud voice instructions to a rescuing person. If it is necessary to use the AED, notify a relevant ZTE office employee, who will go to the place of emergency.
The purpose of the AED is another, next to the first aid training, element of ZTE’s strategy of corporate social responsibility. To find out more about the company’s CSR strategy, read here.
